Luke 7:36-50|누가복음 7장 36-50

36 한 바리새인이 예수께 자기와 함께 잡수시기를 청하니 이에 바리새인의 집에 들어가 앉으셨을 때에

37 그 동네에 죄를 지은 한 여자가 있어 예수께서 바리새인의 집에 앉아 계심을 알고 향유 담은 옥합을 가지고 와서

38 예수의 뒤로 그 발 곁에 서서 울며 눈물로 그 발을 적시고 자기 머리털로 닦고 그 발에 입맞추고 향유를 부으니

39 예수를 청한 바리새인이 그것을 보고 마음에 이르되 이 사람이 만일 선지자라면 자기를 만지는 이 여자가 누구며 어떠한 자 곧 죄인인 줄을 알았으리라 하거늘

40 예수께서 대답하여 이르시되 시몬아 내가 네게 이를 말이 있다 하시니 그가 이르되 선생님 말씀하소서

41 이르시되 빚 주는 사람에게 빚진 자가 둘이 있어 하나는 오백 데나리온을 졌고 하나는 오십 데나리온을 졌는데

42 갚을 것이 없으므로 둘 다 탕감하여 주었으니 둘 중에 누가 그를 더 사랑하겠느냐

43 시몬이 대답하여 이르되 내 생각에는 많이 탕감함을 받은 자니이다 이르시되 네 판단이 옳다 하시고

44 그 여자를 돌아보시며 시몬에게 이르시되 이 여자를 보느냐 내가 네 집에 들어올 때 너는 내게 발 씻을 물도 주지 아니하였으되 이 여자는 눈물로 내 발을 적시고 그 머리털로 닦았으며

45 너는 내게 입맞추지 아니하였으되 그는 내가 들어올 때로부터 내 발에 입맞추기를 그치지 아니하였으며

46 너는 내 머리에 감람유도 붓지 아니하였으되 그는 향유를 내 발에 부었느니라

47 이러므로 내가 네게 말하노니 그의 많은 죄가 사하여졌도다 이는 그의 사랑함이 많음이라 사함을 받은 일이 적은 자는 적게 사랑하느니라

48 이에 여자에게 이르시되 네 죄 사함을 받았느니라 하시니

49 함께 앉아 있는 자들이 속으로 말하되 이가 누구이기에 죄도 사하는가 하더라

50 예수께서 여자에게 이르시되 네 믿음이 너를 구원하였으니 평안히 가라 하시니라

36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. 37 A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. 38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.”

“Tell me, teacher,” he said.

41 “Two people owed money to a certain moneylender. One owed him five hundred denarii,[a] and the other fifty. 42 Neither of them had the money to pay him back, so he forgave the debts of both. Now which of them will love him more?”

43 Simon replied, “I suppose the one who had the bigger debt forgiven.”

“You have judged correctly,” Jesus said.

44 Then he turned toward the woman and said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I came into your house. You did not give me any water for my feet, but she wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. 45 You did not give me a kiss, but this woman, from the time I entered, has not stopped kissing my feet. 46 You did not put oil on my head, but she has poured perfume on my feet. 47 Therefore, I tell you, her many sins have been forgiven—as her great love has shown. But whoever has been forgiven little loves little.”

48 Then Jesus said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

49 The other guests began to say among themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”

50 Jesus said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you; go in peace.”

Children's Ministry

There's a saying - "build it and they will come". We're believing that as we start a Children's Ministry, many families will come into our community. Even if we do not see them yet, we believe in faith that many families will find a spiritual home at Revive.

Prayer Ministry

A Church cannot do anything without prayer. If you've got a heart to see breakthrough through prayer, we'd love to see you join the Prayer team. The great thing about joining the team is you can pray from anywhere! If you can pray, you can make a massive difference. We'll also be organising prayer meetings in the future. Christmas Donations

Jesus is the reason for the season, and this Christmas to honor Him we're going to bless others outside of our community to be His hands and feet.

We will be partnering with an organization called 52Family and sponsoring 25 children from a local orphanage in buying each of them a gift on their wishlist. 

How can you be a part of it? 

Step 1: Donate funds to purchase the gifts to our Revive bank account: 140-014-675340 신한은행 리바이브교회 (each gift has a ₩40,000 limit per a child, so please consider giving this amount if you can to sponsor 1 of the 25 children). Deadline to donate: December 22nd

Step 2: Come along and help us buy the gifts for the kids, wrap them, and write each one an encouraging personal note/letter. (date/time TBD)

Step 3: Come along with us to deliver the gifts to the orphanage! (date/time TBD)

ABOUT 52FAMILY

Each Christmas season, 52Family runs the “Christmas Gift Project” to bring joy to children in childcare facilities by delivering personalized gifts based on their wishes. The project aims to create special and memorable experiences for the children.

How It Works:

 1. Volunteer Recruitment:

Starting every November, 52Family recruits volunteers (“helpers”) who prepare gifts, write heartfelt letters, and wrap and deliver the presents.

 2. Collecting Gift Wish Lists:

Children’s wish lists are gathered to ensure personalized presents for each child.

 3. Gift Preparation and Wrapping:

Volunteers purchase the gifts according to the wish lists, carefully wrap them, and include warm, encouraging messages in handwritten letters.

 4. Delivering Gifts:

Whenever possible, volunteers visit the facilities in person to hand-deliver the gifts, spending time with the children and creating cherished memories.

Through this project, 52Family provides not only thoughtful gifts but also emotional support and love, giving children unforgettable Christmas experiences.

Ice Skating

Join the community for some ice skating fun! Whether you're a pro on the ice or have never put on skates before, you're invited! Friday December 20, 8-9pm. If you want to hang for dinner beforehand, let us know when you register!

Christmas Eve party

No plans for Christmas? Come celebrate Christmas Eve with us!

We're hiring a house to have a traditional Christmas celebration. Join us for dinner on Christmas Eve, along with games, followed by a Christmas midnight countdown and more eating and hanging out!

Accomodation for the night costs 40,000 won. Bring some food to share. Limited spaces remaining. Sign up below!
